| A Note From The Developer
Walking the trails along the Savannah River on Sumter Island, I enjoy a few moments of stillness and quiet. I begin to realize most of my work in Sumter Landing is nearing completion. No more roads. No more meetings with county officials. No more planning for future phases.
I stand on the bank of the Savannah River and take in the wildness and wonder of this stretch of river. As developlment continues in Columbia County, I know this place will be preserved for all the families in Sumter Landing for perpetuity.
This past winter 41.97 acres encompassing the island and bank water were placed under a conservation easement to safeguard the natural beauty of the Savannah River. All the families of Sumter Landing will continue to enjoy this wilderness in their backyard. This easement has been given to the Central Savannah River Land trust for preservation.
Thank you all for calling Sumter Landing home and being a part of leaving a legacy to future generations.
